Residents of the Royal Oaks Apartments on Mayfair St. watch as firefighters try to bring a major apartment fire under control.  The large complex has been the scene of several serious fires in the last ten years including one which totally destroyed the building next to this one. This fire erupted about 12.30pm Monday in a second floor bedroom and spread rapidly throughout the building which was totally destroyed.  Apparently everyone escaped the fire, no one was injured.
