After Wildlife Officers tranquilized the deer Durham firefighters were able to move in and secure the animal before removing it from the metal fence surrounding the Carousel. Unfortunately Wildlife officers determined that the deer had to be euthanized because of the injuries it sustained during it's romp through the mall.
